Security Analyst
Monitor security signals, investigate alerts, and help clients reduce exposure.
You will support DSS security operations across monitoring, triage, and control validation for client environments. The role balances reactive investigation with proactive risk reduction.
Responsibilities
- Triage SIEM and EDR alerts, document findings, and coordinate containment steps
- Run vulnerability scans, prioritize findings, and track remediation with client teams
- Validate security controls during onboarding and quarterly review cycles
- Contribute to incident response playbooks, tabletop exercises, and client reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the ticketing system and security documentation library
Requirements
- 2+ years in SOC, security operations, or IT security engineering
- Familiarity with common attack patterns, log sources, and alert investigation workflows
- Understanding of endpoint, identity, and cloud security basics (M365, Azure AD)
- Strong attention to detail when writing findings and escalation summaries
- Ability to work independently in a remote, client-facing services environment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, or comparable SIEM/EDR stacks
- Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent practical experience
- Background supporting regulated industries (finance, healthcare, or professional services)
